Last year's ornaments

I thought I'd end the week by showing you the ornaments I stitched for last year's Guild and Tiara Club parties. I chose to stitch both ornaments from the same pattern. I really liked them both a lot and it was really hard to give them away. I kept telling myself I'd stitch them again for my self but you know how that goes too.  Didn't happen..

Design:  "Fruit Basket" from Williamsburg Christmas
Designer:  Historic Needlework Guild
Fabric: 32 ct. cream
Floss:  DMC as charted
Started:  11/21/10
Finished:  11/25/10

If I remember right, I think my friend Janis got this one in the Guild's exchange.  She likes doing traditional samplers and such.  I bet it fit right in at her house.

Design: "Cardinal" from Williamsburg Christmas
Designer: Historic Needlework Guild
Fabric: 32 ct. cream
Floss: DMC as charted
Started: 11/22/10
Finished:  12/01/10

The chart had a yellow outline around this design that I decided to leave off.  This was after I stitched half of it and decided I didn't like it.  Yep, I had a visit from the frog that evening.  I think it looks better this way.

This one now lives with my friend Ms. Peggi. Funny thing about that, she got my ornament the year before last too. It was totally random that it happened agian...or at least I'm pretty sure it was random.

I'll be sure to share the ones I've made for this year.  I'm still finishing up one of them.  I changed my mind on what I was doing for my Secret Stitcher.

The one I'm doing now is one I know for sure she'll like since it's by one of her favorite designers.  I hope she'll be surprised it's from me.  If she knows it's me already at least she's letting me have some fun with it.  We'll see next week!

Welcome to all the new folks who have stopped by lately.  I appreciate all your visits and do hope you will stop by again.  I hope everyone has a good stitchy weekend!

Until next time,
